Few would argue that the growth of the Internet has changed human perception of the world around us. The growth of wireless technology makes the Internet available almost anywhere. Now that humans are always connected, it's only a matter of time before our electronic devices are also connected. What are the implications of connected devices? How do we leverage this connectivity to improve the value of our devices to our customers? Are there limitations to what we can and should do with this connectivity? What are the additional costs associated with a connected device? As new products and systems are merged into this environment, the challenge of engineering of these products and systems increases exponentially.
